Area Specifics

  1. In the area of Advocacy and Campaign of Dalit and Adivasi Issues
  2. In the area of Dalit and Adivasi Cultural and Theological Affirmation
  3. Spearheading Kairos Foundation as Churches secular expression on critical issues concerning Dalits and Adivasis.

Specific Ongoing Programmes

  1. Sensitizing the Church on Dalit and Adivasi Issues through Thalitha Kumi (Rehabilitation of Dalit Girl Child Labourers) program, and through Church’s Fund for Child Rights jointly organized with the CSI Women’s Fellowship Secretariat.
  2. To strengthen the efforts of School for Small Farmers especially in catering to the specific needs of Small Farmers in Dalit and Adivasi Congregations.
  3. To strengthen the efforts of International Dalit Solidarity Network by liaisoning with partner churches and related agencies in UK in mustering the required number of MPs to table a motion in British Parliament on the plight of Dalits.
  4. To express solidarity with the communities of faith which are victimized by untouchability and caste violence and empower them to overcome caste discrimination and marginalization.
  5. To sensitize the CSI urban congregations about the travails and aspirations of their counterpart Dalit and Adivasi members in rural congregations through audio-video productions. This also includes promoting Dalit and Adivasi Folk Cultural Traditions.
  6. To organize Consultations, Workshops, and Study Groups on issues related to Livelihood, Cultural, Economical, Political and Theological concerns of Dalits and Adivasis in India today.
