Mission and Evangelism
VISION
To stimulate the evangelistic and missionary zeal in the churches with a view of equipping every member to creatively and actively witness the Risen Christ and obey His command to make disciples.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
- To facilitate networking among the churches and mission boards, fostering the message - 'Together in Mission'.
- To empower the congregations to creatively respond to the contemporary missiological challenges.
- To encourage, develop support and strengthen peoples' participation in the missio dei.
- To promote and explore the new models and strategies for mission to be adopted in the context of religious pluralism.
- To motivate and organize the people and resources for God's mission.
PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES
- Mission meetings to equip people towards holistic mission
- Publication of relevant and need based curriculum materials for use in the missionary/evangelistic training centres in the dioceses
- Short term Training courses on Evangelism for Proclamation (STEP)
- Summer Institutes on Mission and Evangelism
- Exposure visits to the Mission Fields
