A Missional Engagement with CCA& VICHARA in National Consultation on " Embracing the Strangers and Prophetic Witness "

CSI Synod Mission and Evangelism Department has engaged in a National Consultation on “Embracing the Strangers and prophetic witnessing ". Synod Mission Director has shared the Missional standpoint and focus of Church of South India during the closing ceremony of the meeting on 21st June 2018. It was three-day consultation as a follow-up meeting to Asian Missionary Conference (AMC) which was held in Myanmar and the consultation was organized by CCA & VICHARA from 19th to 21st June 2018 at Sophia Centre, Orthodox Seminary, Kottayam.

Mission Director has stated that the Church of South India is striving to build congregations as " Migrant Friendly Congregations " and still trying to network with like-minded people to address the migrant issues. At present, Youth and SEVA Departments of CSI are creatively attending the migrant issues and visibly engaging with migrant friends, especially Rohingyas for their sustainable existence.

Prof. Mammen Varkey, Rev. Dr. Ngurliana, Mrs. Susan Jacob, Mr. Jacob Philip, Rev.Dr.Easow Mathew, and Rev. Dr. Reji Mathew were the organizers for the consultation and around fifty delegates from different organizations have attended in the consultation.
