Awareness session on community health and women’s health for the women and children of the Rohingya refugee camp in Kelambakkam

An awareness session on community health and women's health was organised and conducted by the Synod Youth Department for the Women of the Rohingya refugee camp in Kellambakam, Chennai. Ms. S. W. Naomi Nancy, Ms. Vandana S. Charles and Mr. Dinesh, Junior Lecturers, College of Nursing, CMC Vellore who are also the Youth of CSI volunteered to do handle these sessions as a part of their commitment towards addressing community health concerns.

This interactive session enabled the Rohingya refugee women to seek many clarifications on maintaining menstrual hygieneand other children health-related queries.

The Church of South India Synod Youth Department acknowledges the commitment of all the Youth involved in this process and encourages more young people to commit to building a just an inclusive society.
