“Journeying Together for Missional Revival”: Mission Consultation in Coimbatore Diocese

Chennai: Synod Mission Department and Diocesan Board for Mission (DBM) in Coimbatore Diocese jointly organized a Mission Consultation and Missional Exposure Visit on 6th December 2018 at Bishop’s Office, Coimbatore. The Rt. Rev. Timothy Ravinder, Bishop in Coimbatore Diocese has presided over the meeting. Rev.Charlse Samraj (Diocesan Secretary) and Rev. David Suresh (DBM, Director) and Rev. Maxcin John (Synod Mission Director) have attended the meeting. 

“We need a Missional revival every where and the hour has come to encourage churches to become missional congregation for the well-being of all the people”, said Bishop Timothy Ravinder during his introductory speech. Without any reservation, we need to compliment each other and journey together for the mission revival, Bishop Added. There was also a discussion regarding the forthcoming Mission Programs in diocesan level as well as regional level. Bishop has proposed a program as “Mission True-2019” for the missional revival.

Following to the Mission Consultation, a mission exposure visit was conducted to Sundhukkamutthu co-operative Colony Mission Field in Coimbatore Diocese.  It was the opportunity to identify the prayer fellowships as the venue to cherish the fellowships as well as to empower the most vulnerable people in the villages. Visit was accompanied by Mr. Siromoney, Mrs. Ossanna, Mr. Abraham, Mrs. Radhika, Mr. Dany, and Rev. David Suresh.
