Consecration - Rt. Rev. Dr. V Prasada Rao

 Praise be to the Lord God Almighty forever and ever.  It is indeed great joy to the people in the Diocese of Dornakal, the historic living Church of South India for its new episcopate  the Rt. Revd. Dr. Vadapalli Prasada Rao, consecrated and installed as the eighth Bishop to the Diocese of Dornakal by our beloved CSI Moderator  the Most Revd. G. Devakadasham, on Tuesday the 12th June 2012 in the historic Epiphany Cathedral Church in Dornakal, Warangal District, Andhra Pradesh.  The Rt. Revd. Dr. G. Dyvasirvadam  the Deputy Moderator, the Bishop in Krishna-Godavari as the Moderator's Commissary of the Diocese of Dornakal and Mrs. Ramani Dyvasirvadam  President  CSI WF participated in the Consecration Programme. 

 Along with them a number of active Bishops, Retired Bishops, CSI Synod Officers, Missionary Representatives Synod Directors, Clergy and Lay Leaders from the neighbouring Dioceses along with our Diocesan Clergy and lay members  men and women from all over the Diocese participated in the historic event of the Consecration Service on that day.

 More than eight thousand people from all corners of the Diocese from all spheres of life covering five revenue districts  four in Andhra Pradesh and one in Orissa have participated in the consecration service and took part in the Holy Communion.  The CSI Moderator   Most Rev. G.Devakadasham conducted the consecration service to the glory of God Almighty.  The people felt the moving of the Holy Spirit in the spirit filled Cathedral.

 After the consecration service in the Epiphany Cathedral, the Diocese had arranged a Public Reception in front of the Epiphany Cathedral and thanked God Almighty for giving the Rt. Revd. Dr. Vadapalli Prasada Rao as the 8th Bishop of the Diocese and Revd. Mrs. V. Sunanda Prasada Rao as Thalligaru.  The Diocese felicitated the newly consecrated Bishop, Bishopamma and the CSI Synod Officers and all the dignitaries. 

 The entire Diocese  observed  fasting and prayed on 5th June 2012 for the selection and revelation of the 8th Bishop to the Diocese as per the instructions of the Moderator.  In His time, He made all things beautiful. Thanks be to the Lord God Almighty for His grace, for all things accomplished in a grand manner according to His will and His purpose with the kind direction from CSI Moderator.
