Hassan: “Not for Commercial, but passion for the service is our driving Spirit” highlighted by Bishop the Rt. Rev. Mohan Manoraj, Bishop in Karnataka Southern Diocese during his inaugural speech in a retreat for Medical Professionals in Hassan Mission Hospital on 16th October 2018 at C.S.I. Redfern Memorial Hospital, Hassan. Vision, Mission and compassion should work together, and all medical professionals should work together for the common well-being of the society, Bishop added.
Medical Professionals are the partakers in Mission of God, emphasized Rev.Maxcin John, Synod Mission Director during his talk on “Enhancing Capacities of Medical Professionals towards Missional Engagements”. He further added that all Medical professionals are transformers and actively serve the community without any divisions and discriminations. Through the service, we need to declare solidarity to the most vulnerable. Furthermore, attitudinal change is must which should be more inclusive and need to embrace all to give the holistic healing presence, Rev.Maxcin John added.
Rev.Sr. Sujatha (Diocesan Vice-president), Mr. William Carey (Diocesan Secretary), Rev.David(CSI Hassan), and Rev. Sudhakar (Hospital Chaplain) have attended the meeting and unanimously stressed the necessity of passion and compassion towards service to all and dedicated and submitted for the meaningful healing Ministry.
The Retreat was well-organized by Rev. Sebastian Jethna, Mission Director for Karnataka Southern Diocese along with Ms. Jyothy Nirmala (Hospital administrative -in-Charge). It was an opportunity to deconstruct and reconstruct the attitudes and to rededicate and renew for more better service as part of engagements in the healing ministry of God.
Retreat was conducted by the Department of Mission and Evangelism join with Karnataka Sothern Diocese.
