ACC-17 The Conference of the General Secretaries of the Anglican Communion

Anglican Consultative Council, ACC-17 took place in Hong Kong, China, between 28 April and 5 May 2019 under the theme "Equipping God's People - Going Deeper in Intentional Discipleship". More than 110 ACC members plus guests from around the world participated in the conference, which was held at the Gold Coast Hotel, Hong Kong. 

The programme included daily Bible studies; reports and briefings and services at St John's Cathedral. Presidential address was delivered by the Archbishop of Canterbury and a report from the Secretary General of the Anglican Communion was tabled

The programme included reports on:

  • Intentional Discipleship
  • ACC work at the United Nations and on Women in Church and Society
  • Ecumenical work
  • Anglican Communion Networks

In addition, the Anglican Communion's Safe Church Commission also presented its proposed guidelines.

Adv. Robert Bruce, Hon. Treasurer CSI and Rev. P. Issac Varaprasada represented CSI at ACC17. Rev. Dr D. R. Sadananda, General Secretary CSI participated in ACC17 as an Observer and then attended the Conference of the General Secretaries of the Anglican Communion Member Churches which was held in the same venue, between 6th and 9th May 2019.
