“ Whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.”1 Corinthians 10:31.
Dearly Beloved in Christ,
On behalf of the Diocese of Vellore, I greet you in the name of our Triune God – our Creator, Sustainer and Comforter. It gives me immense pleasure to dedicate the booklet "Biblical – Theological Reflections on the Covid – 19 Crisis”, to the glory of God Almighty.
I congratulate Rev. A. Noyel Christopher, the Director, Rev. P. Samraj Kumar, the Chairman and Mr. J. Joshua Stalin, the Treasurer and all the Board Members of the Board for Youth Work of Vellore Diocese for their tireless effort in bringing out this booklet.
The main idea in releasing this booklet is to view the multi-layered impact of the on-going pan(dem)ic on each and every individual. We need to acknowledge and appreciate that each and every individual is created uniquely and thus, it is important to understand Covid-19, not only from the Biblical perspective but also from the perspectives of the elderly, the migrants, women etc. This will help us know the impact of this pandemic in all dimensions. Because I lfeel that knowing Covid 19 from different empathetic perspectives will help us see through the optics of others too. As a called out community, it is our responsibility to know how this pandemic is affecting the people around us. Let us be also emphatic instead of being only sympathetic. I sincerely appreciate all, who all have contributed in writing these articles. Due to the present situation, we are unable to meet in person. May God help us to overcome this soon by His grace, for His magnificent glory.
In His Service,
The Rt.Rev.H.Sharma Nithiyanandham,
Bishop in Vellore.
Chairperson, Department of Youth, CSI Synod.
